Dot Map
Description
Dot Maps or Point Maps provide an accessible visualization of geographical distribution of phenomena in the areas of their actual location.
In Dot Maps, dots of equal size and type are drawn on a map to create a visual illustration of the phenomena's distribution. The number of such dots indicates the extent of distribution.
When plotting Dot Maps, it is important to decide whether each dot should stand for one phenomenon or a group of phenomena.
