Range Spline Area Chart
Description
Range Spline Area Chart looks very similar to the Area Chart type of data visualization. The core difference between them is that the latter graph is based on plotting Y-axis values one by one, whereas the former, the Range Spline Area Chart type, draws two Y-axis values at a time – Low and High.
Also, the area between the lowest and highest values in Range Spline Area Charts is filled with color, not the area between the X-axis and the series like in Area Charts. Another difference is that data points in such a diagram are connected with smooth curves instead of straight lines.
A Range Spline Area Chart is typically used to display the difference between the minimum and maximum values over a certain time period, including visualization of data sets for prices, temperatures, and so on.
