Stacked Bar Charts are those which display the comparison of the quantitative value each part of the category brings to the whole category. So, each of the stack components shows its relative contribution to the entire bar and the entity as a whole.
This Stacked Bar chart shows the revenue some company gets from ten cosmetic products in four regions: Florida, Texas, Arizona and Nevada. Each region is displayed in a legend item, and you can use legend to switch the region data on and off. All legend items that are "on" form the whole amount of the stack; so each time you turn on or off an item, the horizontal axis maximum value is being recalculated. Each stacked bar represents one product, which is clearly seen from the axis labels. Each stacked bar is being hovered entirely when you hover any of its parts, and you can highlight the region by moving the mouse over the legend item. Full breakdown of a stack is shown in a single tooltip, created with Union mode Tooltip.
