Funnel Charts represent a process in which an amount of something goes down. Each block of a Funnel means an event or a phase of a process, which somehow decreases or leads to reduction of the amount of this something. These Charts are predominantly used when talking about sales or people.
This Chart shows the statistics of number of visitors of a website who finally became customers and paid for the product license. First block shows the amount of people who only visited the site; the second shows how many of them downloaded the trial version. The third block shows the number of people who gave their valid contacts to the service, and the fourth block contains the number of those of them who were interested in purchasing. Finally, the fifth block shows, how many of them became customers and bought the product license.
You can select a block or a plenty of them by clicking at them or by clicking with holding the Shift or Ctrl key. Every block forms a series, so each of them is colored differently from others. Moreover, if you enable the legend, each block will be represented by a separated legend item and can be affected separately as well.
Note that this Funnel has got a neck of two blocks. When the amount of something that we watch at using Funnel goes down, blocks look like trapezes; when this amount stops falling, a “neck” appears in the end of a Funnel. However, you can manage the height of the neck if necessary using appropriate method.
