Area Charts look like charts with Line or Spline series with the area between the series and X axis colored. Area Charts are suitable for showing the data that can be arranged in columns and rows, emphasizing the magnitude of change over a period of time and drawing attention to a total value across a trend.
This Area chart holds only one series that represents how the share prices of ACME Corp. changed during one month (from September the 1st till September the 30th). As we’ve got the daily data, the categories on X axis are days. The Y axis holds the values in dollars. Tooltips are enabled, so when we hover any place on the chart above any category, we’ll see a tooltip next to the point closest to the hovered category, this is possible by using byX hover mode. When a point is hovered, it’s being marked as well; you also can select a point by clicking on it. To select a number of points, hold Shift or Ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking on the points. The grid is disabled in this sample.
X Axis labels are rotated and prevented from overlap by Axis settings.
